How are we different?
At Spine and Sports Medicine Associates we practice according to "evidence-based guidelines". Our providers keep up on all the latest research and new techniques and have extensive post graduate training in sports medicine, orthopedics, radiology and functional rehabilitation.
- Thorough examinations and imaging are performed to determine the root cause of your pain and arrive at a tissue-specific diagnosis.
- Treatment is individually tailored to each patient and not the same on each visit. We employ an active approach to care utilizing a combination of manual soft-tissue/joint-release techniques and specific functional rehabilitation protocols.
- If we are unable to achieve adequate resolution of your symptoms and meet your functional goals, we will make the necessary referrals for advanced imaging or referrals to the appropriate specialist.
- Patients are thoroughly educated about their condition and taught self-care strategies and specific exercises to maintain stabilization, improve overall function and decrease and manage acute episodes.
- Joint manipulation is not based on alignment and not necessary for every patient. When implemented, joint manipulation is utilized to restore functionality, range of motion and decrease pain.
- We work closely with your primary care physician or other health care provider to coordinate the best level of care.
- Our office works closely with all musculoskeletal providers including orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, pain management physicians and neurologists.
Referrals of Friends & Family
The best compliment we can receive is when you refer your friends and family members to our practice. We don't require a medical referral to treat anyone, however, it is occasionally required with certain insurance.
